But too drunk to post any photos.....look for new ones tomorrow! WHEWW!!@ What a fun party! Sorry to those of you who couldn't make it. You missed out, especially on Klaus's homemade schnaps:*)
Carnitas, ceviche, chili verde, and salsa has been made. John's preparing the garden. In a bit, I'll start the chips, guacamole and carne asada....mmmmmmm....CAN'T WAIT!
Weather is great, city is great. Yesterday went to a kids story museum, aquarium with a lemer exhibit that you walked amongst the lemers, an outdoor museum the size of a VERY large park, complete with a zoo!
Today, I think we're off to the Marine Museum and maybe a boat ride. Food is very expensive, even the grocery store! Oh well, it's only money:*)
Sorry for the missing photos, but we've been far too busy having fun the last month or so. Ski week, long weekend in Champagne, long weekend in Belgium(this weekend) and lots of playdates this last month.
So my new month's resolution is to get back to posting photos!
Anne's brother-in-law Nate did a soccer exchange in the town of Speyer "a few years ago" and kept telling Anne and Ken how cool it was. Well, we all went today, and didn't see much, but we did see the "Winter ade" parade, which means So Long Winter. It was fun, and the best part was the end, when we walked to a park and watched the SchneeMann go up in flames. It got going so well, that they finally had to move the kids in the cardboard boxes away from the area....
A few notes about the photos....
We bought these sticks for the kids made by the old ladies. They're to stick pretzels on.... The tree people remind me of H.R. Puffenstuff. The little girls are doing their "spring cleaning". I liked the girl playing saxophone getting ready for holiday with a suitcase on her back.
As a family, we scored 2 golds and a silver. And I personally give the most improved skier of the century award to John, who went from a very LOW beginner the beginning of Dec. to a low-mid level intermediate the middle of January....GO JUAN!!!! (and I think Ava gets that leg thing from Zia)
At the end of ski week, before the awards presentation, Bill the Magician(who was in my class) did a show. And of course, he needed an assistant. And who better to assist(suck up) than Miss Ava....
