They were having a fest while we were there to celebrate that the village was one of five finalists for the most beautiful village in Flanders(province in Belgium). It definitely had our vote!!!!

And yes, the man on his knees IS peeing on the beach, in broad daylight, with all of us looking on.

A GREAT day at the beach with friends, dinner, and sangria and salsa in a tent. Can you think I could be any happier?

Scharlach Fieber in the House:*(

Ava's been feeling pretty bad since Wednesday, but I figured it was the same bug that Gwyn had last week. Well, today, in addition to the sore throat, headache and fever she's been having, she woke up with a rash. So, we went to watch Aidan play soccer(they won by the way...GO BLUE JAYS!) just to get out of the house for awhile.

Ran into one of Anne's parents, who said that her daughter had had strep a few weeks ago. Came home, looked online at the symptoms of strep, and decided she had the fever....took her to the hospital, where from the parking lot back to the parking lot took 1/2 hour(I love it here by the way), she was indeed diagnosed with Scharlach Fieber, or for you not so German speaking individuals in the house, Scarlet Fever....

My poor baby...made it until after 5 years old before she had to take antibiotics:*(
