Ava's been feeling pretty bad since Wednesday, but I figured it was the same bug that Gwyn had last week. Well, today, in addition to the sore throat, headache and fever she's been having, she woke up with a rash. So, we went to watch Aidan play soccer(they won by the way...GO BLUE JAYS!) just to get out of the house for awhile.
Ran into one of Anne's parents, who said that her daughter had had strep a few weeks ago. Came home, looked online at the symptoms of strep, and decided she had the fever....took her to the hospital, where from the parking lot back to the parking lot took 1/2 hour(I love it here by the way), she was indeed diagnosed with Scharlach Fieber, or for you not so German speaking individuals in the house, Scarlet Fever....
My poor baby...made it until after 5 years old before she had to take antibiotics:*(

That sounds terrible! I'm so sorry Ava got the dreaded disease....don't think we ever had it.
